UFO was a British science fiction show by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. They had worked on marionette shows up to this point, and this was their first all live-action TV show. In the show it is 1980 and Earth is being visited secretly by aliens, bent on harvesting organs from the unsuspecting humans. The main characters are part of a super secret high tech agency tasked with defending Earth from this threat.
